2010 Career Fair - Who Was There?

The 2010 Career Fair was a great success! Well over 800 people came through our doors checking out career and education opportunities, gathering information and making connections.
Friendly faces greeted visitors at the registration desk.

The Upper Island Women of Native Ancestry provided awesome buffalo burgers.

Visitors put their job search knowledge to the test at the Job Search Jeopardy booth.

"I'll take Networking for 200, Alex….uh - I mean, May!"

Then they picked up handouts at the Job Search Skills booth and checked
out the finer points of how to (and how NOT to) dress for an interview!

They checked out great careers…

"Psst! Ask him if he's got his gun with him!"

"OK - who wants to back that thing off the trailer?" - checking out the Heavy Equipment Operator trade.

And entered to win great door prizes…

And the winner is……..

EVERYONE!
We hope everyone who came out to the 2010 Comox Valley education and Career Fair walked away a "winner" - with new skills, new information and some great memories. See you next year!
